some recent fun...

So since Steve and I have moved to Birmingham we have been trying to find fun things to do and take in the city as much as possible.  Up until about two weeks ago it was nearly impossible to do with our schedules.  Steve has been working WAY to many hours a week and with photo shoots and editing it has been keeping us a little too busy.  However, a couple of weeks ago Steve accepted a new job (woohoo) that has amazing hours and allows us not only a lot more family time but some random fun as well! When he got the new job we found out that he would also have a two week break in between the jobs so we took full advantage of the time and relaxed, hung out with family, and went on lots of dates!! Wow has it been so nice feeling like I have a husband again! We started off the break in Auburn and spent time with family, especially our precious nephew, we can never have enough time with him, and I feel like he is growing way to fast. Just a few pics of the weekend.

While we were there we also bought a NEW CAR!!! Sorry I don't have any pictures on my computer, but it is a Hyundai Santa Fe and we love it! I needed something bigger to carry around all my photography equipment and somethign reliable to travel with.  I pretty much love it.  So over all it was a very relaxing but productive time spent.
This past week has been spent eating way to much mexican food (our favorite) watching movies and just enjoying each other.  I took as much time away from my editing to spend with Steve.  It has been such a blessing from God that we have had this time, I loved every minute of it.  We also went to a King of Leon concert last Thursday night, and wow they do not dissapoint.  I wanted to the show to keep going, but they were really really good live and what a fun date night, downtown Bham and a great concert to go along with it!This was from the concert, what a fun night!
After the concert some of our best friends from Auburn were playing a show at Daves pub in downtown so we went to see them and support their amazing music.  We miss these guys so much,  they lived above us last year, well really with us since we always had our door open and it was just one big house. They became amazing friends and we really miss them so much.  They all made everyday a little better! We didn't get to see all of the guys but a few of them played.  They sounded amazing (as always) and we had a great time just hanging out with them.  Oh they are in a band called Vegabonds, they play all over, but stationed in Auburn, if you havent heard them you should!!! I wanted to leave you with a picture from a shoot that I did for them a little while back.  Love you guys!!

so here goes....

So I don't know where to start my first blog, so here we go.  I started this not only to update everyone on my new adventures, but also to give previews of my photo shoots.  I have a new website, a new city to shoot in, and a new excitement about my business.  I got married on April 4th to my very best friend.  For the past four years we have grown and learned so much about each other and I am so blessed to call him mine.  Right after we got married and thought life was going to settle down, life handed us a new challenge.  Steve was offered a job in Birmingham and had to start within two weeks.  So needless to say life went in to fast forward mode and we moved in less than two weeks away from friends, family and the life we had built in Auburn.  I could not love it anymore here, besides missing everyone back home, I love the city, the new friends, and the opportunity that God has given me to build my business here.  I hope that I can keep everyone updated on our cray happenings, and on my photo shoots.  Please let me know if I can do any pictures for you my new wesbite and business is http://www.sarahmariephotos.com/.  and I am always back and forth from Auburn so please keep my busy!!  Here is a little preview of a couple of senior portrait shoots that I have done recently.  These girls are so beautiful and were so much fun to shoot!!
