Brown Family

I LOVE this family! I adore anytime that I get to spend with them.  I am so blessed to get to watch sweet Anderson grow, and to get to photograph the ENTIRE family was a gift.  There are 14 of them in all and Mrs. Angie lovingly refers to the as "the circus".  I wanted to take my old chair that looks like it has lived in a living room for a very long time, I wanted the photos to feel like home.  I think we got some really fun family shots! Thank you so much Brown/Sewell/Melnick family, I hope I get to come back soon :)

2011

Is this year already over?!?! How did it pass by so quickly? It has been an incredible journey, and I am forever humbled.  2010 brought a dream into reality and life will forever be different.  My passion is renewed for my job daily, from the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful.  My family and friends make my life so beautiful and I can only hope 2011 brings as much excitement, happiness, and togetherness that 2010 gave us.  I LOVE new years resolutions.  A time to begin fresh, and another chance to get it right.  I wish I could wake up every morning with this sense of renewed spirit that this time of the year brings.  With that said, my new years resolution is to document my life better.  I work everyday to capture and document other people's memories and I want to make sure that I give myself that same gift.  I want to remember this time in my life, the people that make it beautiful, and the moments that are shaping my future.

New Year's eve was so much fun.  It stormed pretty bad here, so we stayed in and had a Hughes fam jam night! We ate my mother in law's amazing spaghetti, and just hung out.  They boys played the PS3 and pool, and we even got out our sparklers from our wedding (we still have a box of them) and played in between the rain.  We toasted the night with champagne and just enjoyed having us all together.   The Christmas decorations came down the next day so I tried to enjoy them, Christmas seemed WAY to short this year.  So here's to 2011, I say go for it this year, dream big, work hard, and love too much!!
