So since Steve and I have moved to Birmingham we have been trying to find fun things to do and take in the city as much as possible. Up until about two weeks ago it was nearly impossible to do with our schedules. Steve has been working WAY to many hours a week and with photo shoots and editing it has been keeping us a little too busy. However, a couple of weeks ago Steve accepted a new job (woohoo) that has amazing hours and allows us not only a lot more family time but some random fun as well! When he got the new job we found out that he would also have a two week break in between the jobs so we took full advantage of the time and relaxed, hung out with family, and went on lots of dates!! Wow has it been so nice feeling like I have a husband again! We started off the break in Auburn and spent time with family, especially our precious nephew, we can never have enough time with him, and I feel like he is growing way to fast. Just a few pics of the weekend.
While we were there we also bought a NEW CAR!!! Sorry I don't have any pictures on my computer, but it is a Hyundai Santa Fe and we love it! I needed something bigger to carry around all my photography equipment and somethign reliable to travel with. I pretty much love it. So over all it was a very relaxing but productive time spent.
This past week has been spent eating way to much mexican food (our favorite) watching movies and just enjoying each other. I took as much time away from my editing to spend with Steve. It has been such a blessing from God that we have had this time, I loved every minute of it. We also went to a King of Leon concert last Thursday night, and wow they do not dissapoint. I wanted to the show to keep going, but they were really really good live and what a fun date night, downtown Bham and a great concert to go along with it!This was from the concert, what a fun night!
After the concert some of our best friends from Auburn were playing a show at Daves pub in downtown so we went to see them and support their amazing music. We miss these guys so much, they lived above us last year, well really with us since we always had our door open and it was just one big house. They became amazing friends and we really miss them so much. They all made everyday a little better! We didn't get to see all of the guys but a few of them played. They sounded amazing (as always) and we had a great time just hanging out with them. Oh they are in a band called Vegabonds, they play all over, but stationed in Auburn, if you havent heard them you should!!! I wanted to leave you with a picture from a shoot that I did for them a little while back. Love you guys!!
